Cottage Health relies on your support to provide the best possible care for children. Your gifts to Cottage Children’s Medical Center go to research, training and technology, and help us cover the costs of children whose families cannot fully pay for their health care. With your help, we are also building a new children’s medical center that will endure for generations.
Support Excellence
We care for kids as they grow from newborns to age 18, tending to everyday concerns, emergencies and complex, even rare problems. Our reputation for excellence has drawn the nation’s top experts in children’s health to our community.
In addition to serving the Central Coast, Cottage Children’s Medical Center is a regional referral center that cares for children from greater Los Angeles and inland California. We are a Pediatric Level II Trauma Center with specialists ready around the clock to give life-saving care to kids. We also started the region’s first Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
Our emergency departments handle more than 7,000 visits by children each year. And our Grotenhuis Pediatric Clinics total more than 4,000 annual visits.
Children's Miracle Network
Children’s Miracle Network has raised more than $5 billion—most of it $1 at a time—for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States and Canada, which, in turn, use the money where it’s needed the most. Cottage Children’s Medical Center is proud to be a part of the CMN family.
These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.

Child Life Donations
We gratefully accept donations to our Child Life Program such as gift cards, NEW toys, care kits, blankets, and many other items. Your donations are used throughout the year to provide play, comfort, and entertainment for our patients – both in the playroom and at the bedside.
